In an scene dominated by a fixed formal language to make the artwork easily placeable and more accessible forvisitors, collectors and others involved, Aron Demetz and Robert Pan stand their ground of artists who, beside their specific language and practice, engage first and foremost in a continuous and incessent experimenting. This involves all levels of conception, creation and making of the work, and regards the materials as well as the techniques used. Material, method and technique exceed the mere practical and technical dimension to become the proper motor and support for poetical and philosophical choices, hence becoming themselves a form of representation of the subject and the focus of the exhibition at Galleria Doris Ghetta. The total of the works exhibited at the gallery also show a new phase in the artistic research of each artist.
